About

Sound Management was formed in 2022 by Rundown bandmates Sam Mills and Josh Rolland. After years of gigging around Manchester, we felt it was time for an event manager prioritising good music and memorable nights over profit.

We want to give Manchester a platform to help artists grow and put on unforgettable shows, supporting local businesses and venues along the way. Manchester has a plethora of musical talent, and far too much of it doesn't get the recognition it deserves. We also want to support artists financially, which is why we split our profits with artists. If we make a lot in one night, so do the artists.

As well as live music, we also host an array of club nights celebrating Manchester's musical heritage- from the city's contributions to punk and post-punk, to the golden days of Madchester. Through these club nights we also like to support local, upcoming DJs, giving them a platform to share their mixes in front of a live crowd.

Manchester is a city with music in its blood, and we want to share that music with the world.

For artists wishing to submit- please don't email us your submission! Click on the Artist Submission tab on our home page. This makes it easier for us to track all submissions and keep them in one place. Unfortunately emails will very quickly be lost and we won't have your info if you submit this way. Unfortunately we don't have time to respond to every submission, but no reply does not mean the submission has been rejected. We may be waiting for a more suitable event or lineup for your act.
